With popping, grinding guitars quite reminiscent of the early '90s and punk rock '70s, Earlimart lays down some good tracks. KINGDOM OF CHAMPIONS is a good followup to their earlier release, FILTHY DOORWAYS, yet it does not have the same amount of depth. Earlimart's country feel is still there, but this album is lacking songs like "Punk Rock Mom." However, KINGDOM OF CHAMPIONS is raw and powerful and catchy all at the same time. If you like screaming punk mixed with soft acoustic music and contemporary indie rock, then Earlimart is for you.
